Рекламу журналу Condé Nast Traveller заборонили в Великій Британії через фотографію «нездорово худорлявої» моделі.

Британський Департамент по стандартам реклами (ASA) заборонив подальше поширення реклами журналу. На зображення, опубліковане у липні в журналі Glamour (який також входить до холдингу Condé Nast), поскаржилися читачі. Чиновники назвали рішення Condé Nast Traveller поширити це зображення в якості реклами соціально безвідповідальним.

Автори реклами не погодилися з висунутими звинуваченнями. За їх словами, оголошення розраховане на дорослу аудиторію їхнього сайту й мало на меті насамперед рекламу подорожей. Видання додало, що модель має природну худорявість та пропорційну фігуру.

Експертну комісію, яка захищає права молоді та вразливих груп населення, це не переконало. «Ми вважаємо, що хоча модель на знімку виглядає пропорційною, обраний кут зображення загострює увагу на її худорявості», - заявили в ASA. 

Регулятор закликав журнал Condé Nast Traveller наступного року поставитися до візуального змісту реклами більш відповідально.

Нагадаємо, минулого року ASA заборонила італійському дому моди Gucci використовувати в Британії рекламу з «нездорово худорлявою»моделлю. Рекламний регулятор заявив, що поза жінки і «темний макіяж» змушують її виглядати «виснаженою».
