Через несколько часов после победы на конкурсе Мисс Турция 18-летнюю Итиро Эсен дисквалифицировали за неуместный твит, пишет ВВС-Украина.

Организаторы конкурса обнаружили, что примерно в годовщину попытки кровавого переворота в стране, в котором погибли 250 человек, участница конкурса написала следующее:

"Этим утром у меня месячные - в честь дня жертв 15 июля. Я отмечаю этот день кровотечением, которое представляет кровь наших жертв".

Организаторы конкурса назвали такие высказывания "неприемлемыми".

"Мы сожалеем сообщить, что этот твит принадлежит Итиро Эсен. Для "Организации Мисс Турция" невозможно поддержать такой пост, ведь она представляет Турцию перед миром и влияет на ее имидж", - пояснили организаторы свое решение.

Эсен в своем Instagram подчеркнула, что не имела никаких политических мотивов.

"Меня вырастили в уважении к родине и своей нации", - написала она, добавив, что ее "не поняли".

Из-за инцидента на конкурсе Мисс Вселенная Турцию будет представлять вице-мисс Асли Сумен.

Как сообщалось, в среду, 6 сентября, в киевском Дворце Украина состоялся финал конкурса красоты Мисс Украина 2017.
