Компанія Google в минулу п'ятницю випадково залишила без доступу в інтернет близько половини жителів Японії.

Помилка була допущена в протоколі динамічний маршрутизації BGP. Компанія помилково почала пропонувати адреси мереж японських операторів і це призвело до того, що провайдери начебто Verizon перенаправили трафік, призначений японським провайдерам, на серверах Google.

Збій виявився настільки масовим, що протягом ще декількох годин багато користувачів не могли підключитися до мережі або спостерігали вкрай низьку швидкість з'єднання. В результат недоступними стали багато сервісів, включаючи банківські та урядові портали, онлайн-магазини і соцмережі. Зазначимо,що люди не могли придбати навіть квитки на поїзд.

"Ми встановили невірні мережеві параметри в протоколі динамічної маршрутизації, в результаті чого виникли проблеми. Ми замінили інформацію на правильну протягом восьми хвилин", - заявив прес-секретар Google.
