Російський пропагандистський телеканал Life припиняє своє існування в нинішньому вигляді – він більше не випускатиме новинних сюжетів. Про це в коментарі виданню РБК заявили два джерела, ознайомлені з планами керівництва Life.

Із 18 серпня канал покине значна частина співробітників, яка раніше займалася виробництвом новин.

Акціонер і гендиректор холдингу News Media Арам Габрелянов, у структуру якого входить Life, розповів РБК, що такі зміни не означають, що канал буде закриватися. "Ми припиняємо передачу новин сюжетами", – підкреслив він.

За словами Габрелянова, на каналі залишаться стріми (потокові трансляції основних подій), які будуть транслювати, зокрема, у кабельних мережах.

Він назвав причиною змін бажання публіки дивитися тільки онлайн важливих новин. Габрелянов додав, що редакційна політика сайта від цього не зміниться.

За даними джерела РБК, частина співробітників Life переходить у нові проекти, у які інвестував Габрелянов останнім часом.

Інтернет-видання LifeNews.ru було створено у вересні 2009 року на базі інформаційно-розважального ресурсу Life.ru. Ресурс позиціонував себе як новинний таблоїд. 18 квітня 2016 року сайт видання закрився, а ресурси було перенесено на сайт Life.ru.
