Президент США Дональд Трамп відволікся від телефонної розмови з новим прем'єр-міністром Ірландії Лео Варадкаром (Leo Varadkar), щоб відзначити «чудову усмішку» Катріони Перрі (Caitriona Perry), кореспондентки телеканалу RTE у Вашингтоні.

Відеозапис інциденту розмістила сама журналістка Ірландського радіо і телебачення на своїй сторінці у Twitter, передає Media Sapiens.

У підписі жінка назвала ситуацію «дивним випадком».

На відео зображено, як під час розмови з прем’єром Ірландії в Овальному кабінеті Білого дому Трамп раптово відволікся, і звернувся до Перрі зі словами: «А ви звідки? Підійдіть-но сюди».

Після того, як жінка представилася, він сказав Варадкару:  

«У нас тут стільки прекрасних представників ірландської преси. Катріона Перрі,  у неї чудова усмішка, сподіваюся, ви там її не ображаєте!»

Раніше Президент США неодноразово був фігурантом скандалів, пов’язаних з його висловами щодо жінок. Зокрема, під час президентських перегонів у США, у мережі з’явився запис розмови Трампа  з телеведучим  Біллі Бушем, у якій він грубо їх обговорює.

Після цього рейтинг кандидата впав на  8%,  а медійника, котрий вів з ним вульгарну бесіду, звільнили з роботи.  Ситуація також стала підґрунтям для  флешмобу проти насильства #NotOkay.
