Премьер-министр Великобритании Тереза Мэй лишилась двух своих советников, отвечавших, в частности, за подготовку предвыборной кампании перед парламентскими выборами. Об этом сообщает "Интерфакс-Украина".

"Я беру на себя ответственность за ту роль, которую выполнял во время кампании. Она заключалась в том, чтобы курировать нашу программу", - написал советник Ник Тимоти в издании ConservativeHome.

Кроме того, в консервативной партии объявили об уходе еще одного советника - Фионы Хилл. Оба они работали с Мэй еще в период, когда она возглавляла МВД - с 2010 по 2016 год.

В сообщениях отмечается, что на отставке обоих советников настаивали влиятельные представители консерваторов, возложившие на Хилл и Тимоти ответственность за неубедительную предвыборную кампанию Мэй.

По итогам выборов консерваторы сохранили лидирующую роль в парламенте, но утратили абсолютное большинство. Мэй заявила, что останется на посту премьера.

Как сообщалось, в результате выборов в Великобритании, которые состоялись 8 июня,правящая партия консерваторов потеряла большинство в парламенте.
