У мережі опублікували історію про те, як президент Росії Володимир Путін намагався вплинути на вибори президента України у 2004 році.

Її на своїй сторінці в соціальній мережі Facebook опублікувала колишній прес-секретар екс-президента України Віктора Ющенка Ірина Ванникова.

За її словами, ця історія, яку розповів один із професорів Польщі, сталася ще в далекому 2004 році, в часи "Помаранчевої революції", коли за посаду президента України боролися Віктор Ющенко та Віктор Янукович. Вона є доказом того, що Путін навіть тоді не зміг дотримуватися нейтралітету й не втручатися у справи нашої країни.

"Тоді посол Росії в Україні Черномирдін відправляє емоційного, "сповненого відчаю" листа до президента Росії Володимира Путіна. Просить не втручатися в українські вибори, не впливати, не підтримувати жодного з кандидатів – ні Януковича, ні Ющенка. Словом, зберігати нейтралітет, як і годиться президенту іншої держави. Мовляв, не треба боятися "Помаранчевої революції", бо це мирні протести проти несправедливої владної системи", – написала Ванникова.

Вона зазначила, що в листі наголошувалося, що Росія зможе знайти спільну мову з будь-ким із цих двох кандидатів. Путіна просили дочекатися переможця по-чесному.

"Відповідь Путіна була короткою і недипломатичною. Два слова. Своєю рукою на листі він написав: "Старий дурак", – написала Ванникова.
