Лише п'ять членів ради директорів залишаться на Altaba.  Американська інтернет-компанія Yahoo змінить свою назву, а також її залишать кілька керівників, включаючи головного виконавчого директора Маріссу Майєр.

Звістку про зміну назви повідомили у доповіді Комісії з цінних паперів і бірж США, передає ТСН.

Зазначається, що більшу частину компанії купляє Verizon Communicaton. Своєю чергою, після завершення продажу основного бізнесу Yahoo змінить назву на Altaba. Активи, які залишилися в Altaba, включають частку в Alibaba Group і Yahoo Japan.

Згідно з повідомленням, лише п'ять членів ради директорів залишаться на Altaba: Тор Браха, Ерік Брандт, Кетрін Фрідман, Томас МакІрні і Джеффрі Сміт. Інша частина керівників Yahoo, в тому числі генеральний директор Марісса Майєр, підуть у відставку з новоствореної компанії.

Verizon оголосила про покупку Yahoo в липні 2016 року року, а оголошена сума операції склала 4,8 млрд дол. Нагадаємо, раніше компанія Yahoo повідомила, що дізналася про хакерську атаку, внаслідок якої було зламано понад 1 млрд акаунтів її користувачів і яка сталася в серпні 2013 року. Відповідно, це найбільший кібернапад, який коли-небудь ставався в історії.
