Після акції, проведеної Автомайданом у Києві 29 грудня, губернатор Харківщини Михайло Добкін заявив про необхідність відмінити пакт Молотова-Ріббентропа.

Так Добкін прокоментував новину про те, що учасники Євромайдану везуть до резиденції президента Віктора Януковича порожню труну із жалобники стрічками. 

"Цей ідіотизм вже б'є через край. З такими психопатами соромно жити в одній країні. Треба скасовувати пакт Молотова - Ріббентропа! До біса цих ідіотів з їх трунами і сміттям в голові! Нехай провалюють!", - заявив Добкін.

Пізніше він додав: "Це у них не істерика. Вони реально інші люди. Ви уявляєте, що у них в голові замість мізків, якщо вони труни по Києву катають?!".

Також він розкритикував лідерів опозиції, зокрема - Арсеній Яценюка, ялинку на Евромайдане і Діда мороза.

"Це - їх ялинка? Це - їхні лідери? ... Якщо це все правда, то ми дійсно в різних країнах живемо", - заявив глава Харківської ОДА.
