Историк Флориан Котанко из Германии обнаружил, что у Адольфа Гитлера был младший брат. Им оказался Отто Гитлер, которого ранее специалисты считали старшим братом фюрера. Исследование впервые опубликовано в немецкоязычной газете Oberoesterreichische Nachrichten, кратко о нем сообщает Reuters.

Ученый обнаружил, что Отто, первоначально считавшийся предпоследним ребенком в семье Алоиса и Клары Гитлер, в действительности родился на три года позже Адольфа (17 июня 1892 года).

Отто умер спустя шесть суток после рождения из-за гидроцефалии(водянки головного мозга). Всего в семье Алоис и Клары Гитлер было шесть детей (три мальчика и три девочки), и Адольф был не четвертым, а третьим из них.

К своим выводам исследователи пришли, изучив архивные записи, сохранившиеся в Браунау-ам-Инн (Австрия), где родились Адольф и Отто.

Адольф Гитлер родился 20 апреля 1889 года в деревне Рансхофен (сейчас — территория города Браунау-ам-Инн). В 1921-1945 годы возглавлял Национал-социалистическую немецкую рабочую партию. С 1934 по 1945 год руководил Германией. В 1939 году развязал Вторую мировую войну, унесшую жизни десятков миллионов людей.
