Вернуться к традиционному хронологическому формату ленты можно в настройках. Пресс-служба компании подтвердила факт изменения.

Напомним, что 10 февраля Twitter ввёл новый алгоритм показа сообщений в ленте. Сервис начал отображать твиты не в обратном хронологическом порядке, а на основе интересов пользователей. Активировать новый алгоритм можно было в настройках.

О предстоящем нововведении стало известно 6 февраля из публикации Buzzfeed. На фоне этой информации пользователи сервиса вывели в топ хэштег #RIPTwitter («Покойся с миром, Twitter»). В ответ глава компании Джек Дорси (Jack Dorsey) заверил, что Twitter не планирует менять алгоритм показа сообщений и отказываться от ленты, организованной в хронологическом порядке.

Тем не менее, Twitter изменил порядок появления сообщений в ленте вопреки заявлениям Джека Дорси. А теперь новый алгоритм активирован по умолчанию.
