Протестантская Церковь Сиона в немецкой столице с целью привлечь больше молодых людей в свои ряды пригласила поклонников Звездных войн на тематическое богослужение. Об этом сообщает Huffington Post.

Около 500 человек откликнулись на призыв и приняли участие в мероприятии. Некоторые посетители, как и церковные служители, использовали световые мечи, а также маски Чубакки, Дарта Вейдера и других персонажей блокбастера.

"Мы были очень рады видеть так много людей в церкви сегодня", - сказал после службы протестантский пастор Лукас Людвиг.

При этом богослужение сопровождалось исполнением на органе саундтрека из фильма.

"В Звездных войнах много религиозных образов, в том числе христианских, и, возможно, некоторых других религий", - сказал Людвиг.

Прихожанин Джонатан Воннебергер описал службу как долгожданное изменение традиции. "Вы не должны принимать все религиозное слишком серьезно. Вы, конечно, должны относиться к нему с уважением, но когда есть такое глобальное событие, как Star Wars, соответствовать духу времени - нормально", - сказал он.
