Советник мэрии итальянского города Урбино ушел в отставку после того, как в центре города без его ведома поставили "неприличную" авангардистскую елку. Об этом пишет издание The Local., передает "Европейская правда".

62-летний советник, искусствовед Витторио Сгарби разозлился, когда на центральной площади города без его ведома поставили авангардистская елку – коническую конструкцию из стали и стекла. Он назвал "елку" "бесполезной, неприличной и уродливой".

Сгарби – арт-критик и бывший мэр с Сицилии – известен своим презрительным отношением к современному искусству. Он стал советником по культуре в Урбино в 2014 году, в его задачи входила защита художественной и культурной ценности исторического центра.

После установки "елки" Сгарби обвинил заместителя мэра Урбино Франческу Креспини в том, что она действовала за его спиной. При этом он угрожал уйти в отставку, если конструкцию не уберут.

В своем решении об отставке чиновник написал, что не может "мириться с противоречивыми политическими решениями и нарушением протокола" и назвал дерево "пенисом, уродующим город".
