Кандидат в президенты США от республиканской партии Рик Перри приостановил участие в гонке за президентский пост.

«Сегодня я признаю, что воля Божья остается загадкой, но некоторые вещи становятся ясны, поэтому сегодня я временно приостанавливаю свою кампанию за пост президента США», — заявил Перри, выступая на форуме республиканской партии в Сент-Луисе (штат Миссури), сообщает Росбалт 

По его словам, кампания дала ему «возможность и честь проехать по стране и убедиться, что люди полны оптимизма».

К настоящему времени в президентскую гонку в США включились уже более двух десятков политиков. Согласно опросам общественного мнения, лидером среди претендентов от Демократической партии является экс-госсекретарь Хиллари Клинтон, среди республиканцев — скандальный миллиардер Дональд Трамп.
