Заступник голови Адміністрації президента таки стане послом України в США. Про це Еспресо.TV повідомило джерело в Адміністрації президента.

За словами співрозмовника, Валерій Чалий полетить у США та почне виконувати обов'язки посла України вже наступного тижня. 

"Враховуючи те, що Сполучені Штати стратегічний партнер для України і всіляко допомагає нам, кращої кандидатури не знайти. Не зайвим буде згадати нещодавній візит Керрі в Сочі і його зустріч з Путіним. Україні треба посилювати свої позиції в США. Чалий - людина, яка близька до президента і, якій він довіряє. Тому, окрім нього, зараз більше нікого на цю посаду немає", - повідомив співрозмовник.

Нагадаємо, в середині квітня Петро Порошенко звільнив з посади посла України в США Олександра Моцика. Ще до звільнення в Україні ширилась інформація про те, що заступник голови Адміністрації президента Валерій Чалий може прийти на заміну Моцику. 

Тоді Чалий пообіцяв, що у разі ухвалення відповідного рішення президентом, Чалий готовий очолити дипмісію в США.

"Це великий виклик для мене, якщо таке рішення буде - це очевидно будуть дуже високі очікування, які ще треба буде відповідним чином реалізувати", - заявляв Чалий.
