Президент Турции Реджеп Тайип Эрдоган использовал визит в Германию для политической агитации в преддверии предстоящих у себя на родине парламентских выборов. В Карлсруэ политик встретился с 14 тысячами этнических турков, живущих в ФРГ, и призвал их хранить родной язык и традиции страны даже в иммиграции. До голосования остается меньше месяца, но выходцы из Турции, живущие за рубежом и сохранившие турецкое гражданство имеют право проголосовать досрочно,сообщает ru.euronews.com

Ясас Оздемир, сторонник Эрдогана:

“Он предлагает процветание для молодых людей. И в целом, все, что он обещает, он затем выполняет. И это самое важное”.

Тем временем, тысячи этнических турков, живущих в Германии, встретили приезд Эрдогана акциями протеста. При это не обошлось без столкновений со сторонниками турецкого лидера. Полиция задержала несколько человек.

Говорит участник акции протеста:

“Турецкий президент ведет здесь незаконную предвыборную кампанию. Именно поэтому мы протестуем. Президент государства должен оставаться нейтрален в такой ситуации”.

Эрдоган и его умеренно-исламистская Партия справедливости и развития хотят по итогам парламентских выборов получить две трети депутатских мест, что даст им возможность изменить Конституцию.
