Мер Києва Віталій Кличко припустив, що пропагандистська кампанія Москви тільки починає розширюватися і проникає до самого Києва.

Про це він сказав в інтерв’ю The Washington Times,передає Укрінформ.

Зокрема, Кличко вказав на загибель у цьому місяці двох проросійських персон - журналіста Олеся Бузини і екс-депутата Олега Калашникова.

"Путін з'явився на телебаченні і сказав, що ці вбивства були політичними. Кличко розцінює це як підривну російську пропаганду", - пише автор статті Гай Тейлор.

На думку Кличка, 14-місячної війни можна було б уникнути, якби Вашингтон і його союзники швидше почали діяти проти московської пропаганди та поставок зброї.

"Без пропагандистської машини і промивання мізків, без фінансової підтримки і поставок озброєнь цей конфлікт ніколи б не трапився... Розвиток ситуації в Україні визначить майбутнє ЄС, майбутнє Заходу і майбутнє демократії у світі. Це не просто локальний конфлікт. Це конфлікт між Сходом і Заходом", - заявив мер Києва.
