Канцлер Германии Ангела Меркель во время официального заявления в Берлине в четверг, 15 января, по ошибке заявила, что антисемитизм является гражданским долгом Германии, сообщает Lenta.ru

«Антисемитизм является нашим правительственным и гражданским долгом», — сказала Меркель в речи перед бундестагом, федеральным собранием ФРГ. Она добавила, что это также касается и «нападений на мечети».

Оговорка канцлера перевернула смысл ее заявления. В исправленном варианте речи отмечается, что в Германии не должно быть места для ненависти к евреям и мусульманам.

Ранее канцлер Германии выступила с критикой в адрес акций правого движения «Европейцы-патриоты против исламизации Запада» (PEGIDA), подчеркнув, что «враждебности по отношению к иностранцам» не может быть места в ФРГ.

Массовые антиисламские демонстрации проходят в Германии с октября 2014 года. Самая масштабная акция прошла во вторник, 13 декабря, в Дрездене, на ней присутствовалиоколо 25 тысяч человек. Сторонники PEGIDA требуют ужесточения миграционных законов и ограничения потока беженцев в страну.
