Британська мовна корпорація "ВВС" відмовилася від діючої раніше заборони на будь-які зображення пророка Мухаммеда у своїй продукції. Перегляд прийнятого раніше рішення викликаний терактами в Парижі, пише LB.UA.

"У день атаки на паризький журнал Charlie Hebdo в ефірі BBC1 були показані фрагменти карикатур з пророком. Днем пізніше, 8 січня, телеведучий Девід Дімблбі зачитав для аудиторії витримку з норм "ВВС", в яких говорилося, що пророк "не повинен представлятися в будь-якому вигляді або формі "в продукції, що випускається даною організацією мовлення. Слідом за цим корпорація виступила з роз'ясненнями, наполягаючи, що дані правила вже "вважаються застарілими і зараз переглядаються"", - наголошується в повідомленні.

Офіційний представник корпорації вказав, що автори програм "вільні у своїх редакційних міркуваннях з урахуванням порад Групи по редакційній політиці".

Нагадаємо: 7 січня терористи напали на офіс сатиричного тижневика Charlie Hebdo в центрі Парижа. Жертвами стали 12 осіб: двоє поліцейських і 10 співробітників журналу, в тому числі головний редактор.
