У квітні 2021 року в Моршині на Львівщині провели експеримент — пілотний проєкт з масової вакцинації населення проти коронавірусної хвороби. Нині майже 75% жителів (там проживають близько 6 тисяч людей) курортного містечка щеплені проти COVID-19.

Центр стратегічних комунікацій та інформаційної безпеки 21 жовтня нагадав про цей експеримент та написав про його успіх. «У результаті масової вакцинації, протягом двох місяців – з середини червня до середини серпня – у Моршині не зафіксували жодного нового хворого на коронавірус. Далі захворюваність відновилася, однак це очікувано на тлі зростання захворюваності в Україні», — розповіла координаторка з вакцинації проти COVID-19 у Львівській області Олег Когут та додала, що хворіють переважно невакциновані.

Агентство «Укрінформ» 26 жовтня обговорило цю ситуацію з мером Моршина Русланом Ільницьким, який розповів, що в місті немає госпіталізованих з COVID-19. За його словами, ще влітку в місті не було жодного хворого на COVID-19, однак ситуація змінилася з появою Delta-штаму. Ільницький уточнив, що станом на 26 жовтня COVID-19 хворіють загалом 22 людей, 8 з яких невакциновані. «За увесь цей період жоден хворий не був госпіталізований. Хворіють в легкій і середній формі, тому лікуються вдома на самоізоляції», додав Ільницький.

Позитивний досвід Моршина оцінили в соцмережах, користувачі Facebook та Twitter «планують переїзд», «малюють апокаліптичні сценарії» та розмірковують над «реакціями» жителів міста й антивакцинаторів.
