Власник конгломерату Viacom використовує в основному кілька односкладових виразів. На швидкому доступі його пристрою встановлені вирази "Так", "Ні" і "Пішов ти на***" (Fuck you), які підкріплюються більш детальними записаними відповідями.

Зараз обговорюється можливість злиття Viacom з корпорацією CBS. Чи використовував Редстоун на цьому обговоренні свій гаджет - невідомо.

У 2016 році суд Лос-Анджелеса направив Редстоуна на психіатричну експертизу після того, як екс-дівчина американця Мануела Херзер заявила, що він недієздатний.

Редстоун є головою правління медіакомпанії Viacom, в яку входять кабельні і супутникові телемережі MTV Networks. Американець також володіє оператором кінотеатрів National Amusements і контрольними пакетами CBS і Paramount.
