Успішна ведуча шоу Countdown зізналася, що постійно потерпала від утисків на початку кар'єри. За словами жінки, одного разу представник телеканалу ВВС сказав, що у Керол немає шансів через невеликий розмір грудей. Також ведуча наголосила, що чоловік спізнився на годину і закинув ноги на робочий стіл.

Вордерман розповіла, що в кінці XX століття в індустрії тележурналістики жінки постійно зазнавали тиску з боку чоловіків. Тільки зараз 57-річна ведуча, яка 26 років була обличчям британського шоу Countdown, дозволяє собі виглядати так, як вона хоче.
