В Туркменистане ветеранов Великой Отечественной войны — тружеников тыла обязали сдать деньги на подарки себе ко Дню Победы. Их вручат от имени президента Гурбангулы Бердымухамедова. Сбор средств практикуется не впервые, в прошлом году было то же самое, сообщает «Радио Азатлык».
Например, деньги уже собрали с ветеранов-тыловиков в населенных пунктах Лебапского велаята. Их родственники заявляют, что местные власти не дают никаких официальных разъяснений по этому поводу.
Размер материальной помощи и стоимость подарков, которые вручат ветеранам не разглашается. В предыдущие годы участники Великой Отечественной войны получили ко Дню Победы по 200 манатов (4,2 тысячи рублей).
По данным «Радио Азатлык», половину взноса ветеранов на свои подарки власти направляют на другие нужды. Из-за этого полученные сувениры не соответствуют вложенным в них средствам.
Сами за себя платят не только ветераны. Ранее работники сельского хозяйства оплатили президентские подарки к Празднику урожая.
В конце апреля в Туркменистане запретили очереди перед продуктовыми магазинами, так как они портят имидж президента. Власти официально не признают продовольственный кризис и социально-экономические проблемы в стране.
