Індонезійська парк розваг надів на статуї русалок з голими грудьми золотисті топи. Адміністрація парку пояснила, що таким чином захищає традиційні східні цінності.

 Русалки з голими грудьми стояли в парку Ancol Dreamland в Джакарті останні 15 років, тому рішення їх прикрити багатьох здивувало. Хтось припустив, що адміністрація піддалася тиску зовнішніх сил, передає Бі-бі-сі. Але керуючі парком пояснили, що вирішили закрити груди статуям ще рік тому.

"Це рішення менеджменту, ніякого тиску ззовні не було, - сказала представник парку Ріка Лестары. - Ми знаходимося в процесі переформатування в сімейний парк розваг", - додала вона. Автор скульптур Долороса Сінага в бесіді з Індонезійської службою Бі-бі-сі сказала, що адміністрація парку позбавила відвідувачів можливості милуватися красою мистецтва. "Нас статуї не турбували. Дивно бачити, що мистецтво так прикривають", - сказала Нанда Джулінда, що прийшла в парк зі своїми дітьми.

"Парк недалеко від пляжу. Тут русалки, а русалка не стала б так закриватися", - каже відвідувач Тофік Фікі. У минулому статуї не раз ставали причиною невдоволення консервативної публіки.
