Британці шоковані, адже діяльність з продажу фальшивих документів процвітала протягом багатьох років. За цей час ділок заробив мільйони фунтів. Тепер репутація Оксфордського університету серйозно підірвана.
У самому університеті і не підозрювали, що якась компанія українського бізнесмена роздає направо і наліво нагороди від його імені. Зокрема, ЄБА вигадав «Хрест Королеви Вікторії» і «Міжнародну премію імені Сократа», видаючи їх бажаючим за 10 тисяч фунтів. Люди, які отримують липові документи, не підозрювали про обман. Вони були впевнені в тому, що їм дійсно дали нагороду, а необхідність перерахування грошей пояснювалася адміністративними витратами і оплатою ліцензії. Цікаво, що серед ошуканих українцем людей опинилися мери європейських міст та інші досить відомі люди. Незаконний бізнес було чітко налагоджено. Деяких клієнтів приводили на територію університету і там вручали нагороду, організувавши пишну церемонію. Правильно підбиралися слова, якість документів була на високому рівні.
