Украинское посольство в Великобритании предъявило требование к руководству социальной сети Twitter заблокировать профиль представительства внешнеполитического ведомства (МИД России) в оккупированном Симферополе. Как передает PRпортал, дипломаты возмутились тем фактом, что Twitter верифицировал представительство МИДа и присвоил ему так называемую синюю отметку. Соответствующее поведение социальной сети они сочли неприемлемым.

«Ми направили официальную жалобу в техническую поддержку Twitter. Это абсолютно неприемлемо — давать синюю отметку так называемому МИД России в оккупированном Крыму. Россия незаконно аннексировала Крым, военизировав его и грубо нарушив права людей. Twitter должен заблокировать этот акккаунт», — отмечается в тексте заявления посольства Украины с хэштегом «CRIMEAISUKRAINE».

Как известно, ранее журналисты американского телеканала CNN назвали Симферополь российским городом, но после реакции сотрудников украинского дипломатического корпуса ошибка была исправлена.
