Теперь ему грозит смертная казнь. А Трамп, в свою очередь, предлагает вооружить американских учителей, чтобы они могли защищаться во время таких приступов. 

Напомним, стрельба произошла 14 февраля в средней школе Marjory Stoneman Douglas, которая находится в 30 милях к северу от Форт-Лодердейла, Флорида. Ранее Флорида считалась одним из самых безопасных мест.

В результате действий стрелка было убито 17 человек, более 50 получили ранения.

После смертельной стрельбы возникли вопросы о том, что официальные лица и знакомые пропустили предупреждающие знаки у подростка, как и то, что у юноши были проблемы с психикой. Также одноклассники, родственники и соседи описали обвиняемого как смутного одиночку, который часто говорил об оружии и хвастался своей одержимостью оружием в соцсетях. И Джим Гард, учитель математики в школе, рассказал, что подросток ранее был идентифицирован как потенциальная угроза для других учащихся.

Власти отмечают, что это уже 18-й случай стрельбы в школах в США с начала 2018 года.
