Как пишут американские СМИ, выступая перед журналистами в городе Тьюпело (штат Миссисипи), он сказал, что в молодости был похож на Элвиса Пресли.

Дональд Трамп заявил: «Когда я был молодым, мне говорили, что я напоминаю Элвиса, если не считать светлые волосы. Представляете? Я всегда считал, что это хороший комплимент».

После этого американский президент развил тему и унизил мигрантов.

Он заявил: «Элвис Пресли создал новый музыкальный стиль в 1950-х, новое кино в 1960-х и произвел революцию в живых выступлениях в 1970-х. Король, именно так мы называем его до сих пор, Король. Но что мигранты дадут США? Нового Элвиса Пресли они тут не создадут».
