Неуместная шутка прозвучала в диалоге с украинским общественным активистом Вадимом Трюханом в эфире программы "Воскресный вечер" на телеканале "Россия 1".

"Вы не боитесь, что вам вернут того же Сенцова? Вы представляете, что сейчас будет? Вам Нади мало? Вам сейчас Сенцова вернут — потом его у себя посадите", — колко отметил Соловьев.

В свою очередь, Трюхан ответил ему, что после выхода на свободу Сенцов станет прекрасным режиссером и будет делать хорошие фильмы.

Но Соловьев вновь не упустил возможности сказать оскорбление в адрес заключенного украинца.

"До этого не делал, а сейчас начнет? С чего вдруг?" — с ухмылкой сказал он.
