Прямая трансляция полицейской погони за грабителем стала причиной конфуза на телеканале Fox. В режиме реального времени зрители наблюдали, как ограбивший банк преступник пытался уйти от преследования. Какое-то время ему это удавалось. Но затем он сбавил скорость, и стражи порядка пошли на таран. Машину заблокировали с трех сторон, а при задержании один из офицеров открыл по налетчику огонь.

К такому повороту событий телеканал оказался явно не готов. Сначала режиссер переключился на деловое совещание, а затем поставил прогноз погоды, да и ведущий за кадром был явно растерян. Ранения грабитель получил смертельные. Впоследствии в полицейском департаменте заявили, что преступник был вооружен и целился в патрульного, поэтому страж порядка принял единственное верное решение.
