Сайт WikiHow вибачився за те, що у одній зі своїх статей розмістив комікс, в якому 44-й президент США Барак Обама, співачка Бейонсе та репер Джей Зі зображені з білим кольором шкіри.
 

Зображення було опубліковане у статті під назвою «як стати конгресменом». Фото, зроблене на благодійному заході в 2012 році перетворили на комікс, в якому усі три постаті намальовані зі світлим кольором шкіри, пише BBC. 

Сайт WikiHow опублікував вибачення, зазначивши що зображення ніколи не мало б з'явитсия на сайті.  «Коли ми побачили "відбілених" Обаму, Джей Зі та Бейонсе, нам стало гидко і соромно», - йдеться у пості WikiHow. 

У WikiHow пояснили, що ілюстрація була зроблена три роки тому командою художників. Один з них починав малювати картинку, інший закінчував, додаючи на неї кольори. Таким чином, другий ілюстратор не знав, хто зображений на картинці, тоу не міг навмисне «відбілити» зображених на ній людей. 

«Це не змінює того факту, що ми виклали це жахливе зображення на нашому сайті», - зазначає WikiHow. Сайт повідомив, що веде переговори з ілюстраторами, аби в майбутньому не повторювати цю помилку.

Нагадаємо, раніше під критику за «відбілювання» потрапила компанія Sony Pictures та режисер Алекса Грейвз. Йому доручили зйомки фільму за мотивами мультика «Мулан». Фанати цікавилися у студії, чому фільм «зніматиме білий режисер».
