Премьер-министр Японии Синдзо Абэ номинировал президента США Дональда Трампа на Нобелевскую премию мира осенью 2018 года после соответствующего запроса от правительства США, сообщила газета Asahi.

По информации источника в японском правительстве, американская сторона "неофициально" предложила Абэ выдвинуть Трампа на Нобелевскую премию мира после саммита США-КНДР в июне 2018 года - первой личной встречи северокорейского лидера Ким Чен Ына с действующим президентом США.

Представитель МИД Японии заявил, что министерство осведомлено о заявлениях Трампа, но "воздержится от комментариев по поводу взаимодействия между двумя лидерами".

Белый дом пока не прокомментировал эту информацию.

Напомним, что 15 февраля президент США Дональд Трамп заявил, что премьер-министр Японии Синдзо Абэ номинировал его на Нобелевскую премию мира за его усилия по достижению мирного соглашения с Северной Кореей.

Запросы на номинирование кандидатов на Нобелевскую премию мира могут быть поданы любым лицом, отвечающим ряду критериям, в том числе нынешними главами государств. Согласно правилам Нобелевского фонда, имена номинантов публично не объявляются, и номинантам о факте выдвижения не сообщается. Вся информация о выдвижении на премию остается тайной в течение 50 лет.
