У російському Петербурзі 3 березня поряд з будівлею Першого медичного університету відбулося офіційне відкриття пам'ятника загиблим медикам і тут не обійшлося без скандалів.

Відлита в бронзі скульптура "Сумний ангел" - робота петербурзького художника Романа Шустрова, який помер від коронавірусу в травні минулого року.
Установка скульптури - це продовження народного меморіалу "Стіна пам'яті" петербурзьких медиків, які загинули від COVID-19. Однак творців меморіалу на відкриття пам'ятника навіть не покликали.
Крім того, губернатор Санкт-Петербурга Олександр Бєглов відкрив пам'ятник на день раніше оголошеної дати. Та й від самої скульптури петербуржці м'яко кажучи не в захваті.
"Я не вважаю себе тонким цінителем з ідеальним смаком, але пам'ятник, присвячений такому сумному приводу, на мій погляд, має виглядати інакше", - кажуть місцеві.
