В США разгорелся скандал международного масштаба: легендарную группу U2 обвинили в плагиате песни из альбома 1991. Как передаёт Associated Press, британский автор песен и гитарист Пол Роуз уже в судебном порядке заявил о том, что якобы лидер группы U2 Боно украл у него песню Achtung Baby. Утверждается, что соответствующий иск уже зарегистрирован в Федеральном суде Манхэттена, музыкантов из U2 ждёт резонансное судебное разбирательство.
В иске Пола Роуза сказано, что Боно украл фрагменты его песни, оригинал якобы называется Nae Slappin. Роуз обвиняет легендарных музыкантов в том, что они написали свои песни, черпая вдохновение из его трека. Утверждается, что U2 услышали композицию Роуза ещё в 1989 году, это произошло во время подписания контракта с Island Records.
Чтобы считать инцидент исчерпанным, истец требует через суд взыскать с лидера U2 Боно 5 миллионов долларов в пользу Пола Роуза.
