В интервью телеканалу «Прямой» глава Министерства экономики, торговли и сельского хозяйства Украины Тимофей Милованов признал, что в период работы над диссертацией в США курил марихуану. В частности, ведущий решил поинтересоваться у высокопоставленного чиновника, употреблял ли он наркотики. В ответ на это министр сказал, что Украине — нет, а в США курил марихуану.

«Нет, я не курю ничего… Честно скажу вам: сигареты я курил 7 раз в жизни. Это когда меня «на слабо» брали в школе. Однако я в то время занимался парусным спортом, и как-то у меня этот период — пить и курить — прошел. Но вот марихуану, это ведь нелегально ее курить, зависит от штата — в Колорадо сейчас легально курить. Марихуану в Украине я никогда не курил, хотя это и несложно в школе было или в университете. Потому что нет. А знаете, где я ее курил и только там? Это когда в аспирантуре был на докторской. Все в США курят, а кто докторанты — они просто курят марихуану нон-стоп. И там мне дали… Только в тот период, когда мне нужно было придумать диссертацию», — рассказал министр.

Более того, он добавил, что употребление марихуаны его не впечатлило и на сегодняшний день он не пьет даже кофе, предпочитая ему чай.
