После вступления в силу закона о государственном языке мэр Харькова Геннадий Керне спопытался говорить на украинском во время городской сессии, при этом допустив множество ошибок и высказавшись в сторону одного из депутатов, передает PRпортал. Так, обсуждая вопрос с депутатом Игорем Черняком, возмутившимся дороговизной скамеек, которые городские власти поставили в местном сквере «Стрелка» – каждая по 17 тысяч грн, мэр во всей красе продемонстрировал свой украинский говор.
«Питання, яке сечас озвучив депутат, питання важливе. Пан Черняк може звернутися до правоохоронних органів і вам дадуть відповідь. Мені задають питання, як це відбувається у Харкові – ми робимо багато чого хорошого, красивого, а Черняк каже, що ми «тупії». Я наслухався вашей предвіборной агитации с вашим патроном Саакашвили, которий не тільки некультурна людина, а і дурковата немнога. Я посмотрю вашу інформацію, щоб ми виявили, де дешевле, а де – нет, і я вам відповім. Ну Саакашвілі ви передадить, да?» – ответил Кернес. После этого, мэр выдал перл также и о петиции о реконструкции парка «Зеленый гай». «Ми віртали історичне названіє проспекта», – заявил Кернес. «Считаю, что ми розглянули всі питання. Сесія завєршена», – подытожил он.
