У соцмережах активно коментують запис прессекретарки президента України Юлії Мендель – чи правильно вона використала хештег про Україну.

Прес-секретар Посольства Великої Британії в Україні Олексій Курка написав в Facebook заклик до видання Spectator не використовувати риторику Кремля стосовно України, а саме, не називати російську агресію на Донбасі "громадянською війною".

У коментарях Мендель залишила короткий запис "#NoCivilWar in Ukraine", який і викликав шквал обговорень.

Одні звинуватили прессекретарку президента в невігластві. Мовляв, по-англійськи правильно писати "#NotCivilWar in Ukraine" ("В Україні не громадянська війна"), а варіант Юлії читається як "Ні громадянській війні в Україні". У коментарях пишуть, що Мендель винайшла "українську англійську".

 
 

Однак є в соцмережах і критика коментаторів. Пишуть, що хештег Мендель є скороченням фрази "There is no civil war in Ukraine" ( "В Україні немає громадянської війни"). І що вона мала на увазі, прекрасно розуміють англомовні користувачі.

Пропонують і "третій шлях" #NoToCivilWar in Ukraine – як аргумент був задіяний гугл-перекладач.

Не обійшлося і без мемасиків з Юлією Мендель в головній ролі.

Нагадаємо, раніше Мендель заявила, що Росія не є монополістом російської мови, тому треба голосно заявити, що в нашій країні є "українська російська мова". Мовний омбудсмен виступив з критикою. За словами Тараса Креміня, подібні заяви не мають ніяких перспектив.
