Один из самых известных персонажей «Звездных войн» мастер Йода оказался в учебнике по истории Саудовской Аравии. На странице, посвященной королю Фейсале ибн Абдул-Азизе Аль Сауде, появилась фотография, где рядом с королем во время заседания ООН в 1945 году сидит Йода.

 

Это фото — одна из многих забавных иллюстраций, созданных художником Абдулой Аль Шехри. У него есть целая серия подобных фотографий, где различные известные персонажи из фильмов становятся участниками исторических событий. Для этой конкретной иллюстрации был выбран мастер Йода, так как, по словам Шехри, «они оба сильные и мудрые, а цвет кожи мастера джедая, как и цвет светового меча, совпадает с зеленым на государственном флаге Саудовской Аравии».

 

Ошибку обнаружили случайно, Шехри узнал о ней от своей мамы — учительницы биологии. После этого Министерство образования страны отозвало весь тираж новых учебников истории и пообещало разобраться с тем, кто в ответе за эту промашку. Новые книги уже ушли в печать, хотя, думаем, что школьникам первый вариант был куда больше по нраву.
