Американський сенатор-республіканець Джон Маккейн розкритикував спроби заяв про моральну тотожності дій Росії і США. Про це повідомляють Українські новини з посиланням на телеканал CNN

У своєму виступі в Сенаті Маккейн говорив про російського опозиціонера Володимира Кара-Мурзі, якого нещодавно госпіталізували з отруєнням.

"Володимир (Кара-Мурза – ред.) знав, що Путін є вбивцею. І він вбивця. І він цілком може бути наступною мішенню. Володимир знав, що немає ніякої моральної тотожності між Сполученими Штатами і путінською Росією", - сказав Маккейн.

"Немає ніякої моральної еквівалентності між цим м'ясником і головорізом полковником КДБ і Сполученими Штатами Америки, країною, яку Рональд Рейган називав сяючим містом на пагорбі. І стверджувати про якусь моральну еквівалентності між двома країнами є проявом або жахливою дезінформованість, або неймовірною упередженості", - заявив Маккейн.

Маккейн під час промови перерахував ряд інших загиблих критиків Путіна і журналістів, яких підозрюють у вбивстві російським урядом
