У Лос-Анджелесі невідомі перетворили напис "Hollywood" у "Hollyweed", немов "ліс з падубів" заріс "травою".

"Hollywood" - назва району Лос-Анджелеса, який став центром американської кіноіндустрії.

"Weed" означає "бур'ян", в розмовному англійському так часто називають марихуану.

У поліції Лос-Анджелеса розповіли, що "акт вандалізму" був скоєний у новорічну ніч. Невідомі використовували білий брезент, щоб перетворити дві літери "О" в "Е", передає CNN. Однак такий зухвалий жарт стався не вперше. Знак так само "відредагували" в 1983 році.
