Президент Білорусі Олександр Лукашенко розкритикував метеорологів і запропонував розігнати Республіканський центр з гідрометеорології.

У кращому випадку в якийсь день на 50-70% достовірність прогнозу погоди. Нам такий Гідрометцентр не потрібен", - заявив Лукашенко у вівторок. "Я вже орієнтуюся на військових, які бачать в реальному часі погоду, підкажуть, де йдуть дощі по республіці і що буде в найближчі 12 годин. Майже на 100% дають точний прогноз, правда, короткий", - зауважив президент.

"Ми повинні знати, що відбувається, що буде завтра, післязавтра, щоб орієнтуватися", - додав він. Раніше Лукашенко вже критикував білоруських метеорологів. Так, у 2017 році при призначенні нового голови Мінприроди, президент заявив, що "їх прогнози часом не те що читати... Іноді, прочитавши, хочеться, щоб взагалі нічого там не прогнозували".
