Марин Ле Пен, кандидат в президенты Франции от ультраправой партии "Национальный фронт", отменила запланированную на вторник, 21 февраля, встречу с верховным муфтием Ливана из-за того, что не хотела надеть платок для встречи.

Об этом сообщает Европейская правда со ссилкой на Reuters.

"Вы можете передать мое почтение верховному муфтию, но я себя не буду прикрывать", - сказала она журналистам.

В пресс-офисе верховного муфтия заявили, что помощники Ле Пен были заранее осведомлены о требование о необходимости надеть головной убор для встречи.

Сообщается, что Ле Пен находится с визитом в Ливане, поскольку пытается найти поддержку для себя перед выборами во Франции.

Напомним, лидер ультраправого "Национального фронта" Марин Ле Пен улучшила свой рейтинг относительно главных конкурентов Эммануэля Макрона и Франсуа Фийона, но все равно проиграет любому из них во втором туре.
