Співаючий ректор зібрав 10-тисячний зал на честь свого ювілею. Головними гостями шоу стали учасники групи Квартал 95, які у своєму номері стали на коліна перед Поплавським.

 
Відомий діяч естради і ректор київського університету Михайло Поплавський відсвяткував своє 70-річчя масштабним концертом. На офіційній сторінці музиканта в Instagram з'явилися фото і відео із заходу.
 
Ювілей виконавець відсвяткував в київському Палаці спорту. Поплавського прийшли привітати екс-президент України Віктор Ющенко, нащадок династії Нобелів Мікаель Нобель і навіть соліст групи Modern Talking Томас Андерс. Свої пісні виконали Олег Винник, Ірина Білик, Павло Зібров і Дурга.
 
Головними гостями шоу стали учасники групи Квартал 95 Євген Кошовий, Степан Казанін і Олександр Пікало. Усі вони стали на коліна перед ректором і попросили вибачення за свої жарти. Номер також був виконаний в гумористичному ключі
