Piel Сosmetics навлек на себя критику в сетях за рекламу с кадром из фильма «Ирония судьбы, или С легким паром!». Основательница и главный редактор в The Devochki Оксана Павленко возмутилась рекламой бренда, отметив, что он использует в промо российские фильмы. Так же она отметила, что ответ собственника Piel cosmetics огорчил ее тем, что до сих пор есть люди, которые ностальгируют по Советскому Союзу и романтизируют его.

В ответ бренд разместил свое объяснение поста. СЕО Ярослав Процько отметил, что речь шла о советской классике, а не о российских фильмах. И целью не была ностальгия.

«Своим проявлением мы хотели немного поиронизировать, и даже посмеяться над серым прошлым советских времен, но не как не возвеличить его», — отметил Ярослав. CEO отметил, что искусство — вне политики и нельзя его просто перечеркнуть только потому, что оно было создано в СССР.
