Консульство Китаю в Нью-Йорку висловило протест у зв'язку з "неправильною картою", показаною американським телеканалом NBC Universal під час церемонії відкриття Олімпіади-2020
На цій карті Тайвань і деякі інші острови в Південно-Китайському морі, які китайці вважають своїми, виявилися відокремленими від КНР.
У заяві консульства з цього приводу сказано, що NBC "завдав шкоди гідності та образив почуття китайського народу. Ми закликаємо NBC визнати серйозність проблеми і вжити заходів для виправлення помилки".
Нагадаємо, що раніше виник скандал у зв'язку картою України на офіційному сайті Олімпіади-2020: на ній Крим був відокремлений від решти країни лінією, якою позначають державний кордон. МОК пояснив, що трапилася "помилка провайдера", і прибрав кордон з мапи.
