Телеканал ICTV заретушував напис «Аваков чорт» на футболці стендап-коміка і сценариста «Телебачення Торонто» Влада Капиці. Скріншоти з сюжету комік розмістив у Twitter, саме відео оприлюднено і на YouTube каналі. «Насправді це не блюр, це Аваков силою думки розмиває нам зір», — відреагував Капиця. 

Йдеться про сюжет ICTV про стендап в Україні. Капиця одягнув на ці зйомки футболку з написом «Волю Стерненку, Аваков чорт». Але канал вирішив приховати напис про главу Міністерства внутрішніх справ, залишивши лише текст про Стерненка.

Напис про Авакова заблюрений впродовж всього відео, де з’являється стендапер.

Зазначимо, гасло «Аваков — чорт» скандують на мітингах проти увʼязнення засудженого на сім років активіста Сергія Стерненка. В інтервʼю на телеканалі «1 + 1» ведуча навіть спитала Авакова про те, чи він — «чорт»

«Ви питаєте: «Аваков — чорт?» А я вам скажу, може Аваков янгол, що терпить це все? Зокрема, і таке ставлення. У мене така робота, яка вимагає іноді бути твердим, іноді ліричним, іноді людяним, але часто — жорстким. Коли нас несправедливо критикують, я говорю своїм хлопцям: «Не з цукру, не розтанете», — відповів тоді Аваков.
