Губернатор штата Гавайи Дэвид Айдж не смог предупредить жителей об ошибочной тревоге, потому что не знал пароль от своего Twitter-аккаунта, сообщает Новое время.

Жители Гавайев утром в субботу, 13 января, получили смс с предупреждением об угрозе ракетного удара. Власти позже объяснили, что сообщение было отправлено по ошибке, но среди граждан уже началась паника

"Гавайям грозит ракетный удар. Немедленно ищите укрытие. Это не учения".

Как сообщает сайт Star Advertiser, Айдж не смог сообщить об этом в Twitter, потому что не знал ни логина, ни пароля. Его аккаунт ведут помощники. С момента фейковой рассылки и публикации опровержения прошло 17 минут. 

"Должен признаться, что я не знал логинов своих учетных записей в Twitter и паролей к ним, теперь, безусловно,  мы изменили ситуацию. Я установил приложение на свой телефон, чтобы напрямую обращаться в социальных сетях", - отметил губернатор.
