Голова Європейської комісії Жан-Клод Юнкер прийшов на саміт в Женеві напідпитку, повідомляє британський таблоїд The Sun з посиланням на свої джерела в женевських політичних колах.
На саміті в Женеві обговорювалася складна політична і економічна ситуація на Кіпрі, а також розкол між підконтрольними Греції і Туреччині частинами острова.
За інформацією джерел таблоїда, 62-річний Юнкер в кулуарах політичної зустрічі робив дивні рухи, іноді наштовхувався на перехожих і меблі, всміхався без причини, люто сперечався зі знайомими політиками і "лестився" до своїх помічників.
У травні 2015 року подібний скандал з Юнкером трапився перед прес-конференцією в Латвії. Побачивши прем'єр-міністра Угорщини Віктора Орбана, глава ЄК голосно сказав "Диктатор йде", а потім поплескав його по щоці долонею. Міністра закордонних справ Іспанії Хосе Мануеля Гарсія-Маргальо він привітав військовим салютом, хоча той до армії не має жодного відношення. Ще одного гостя зустрічі Юнкер попросив нахилитися і поцілував його в лисину. Після цього Юнкер на офіційному заході почав порівнювати кольори краваток гостей і дорікнув прем'єру Греції Алексу Ципрасу, що той з'явився без цього елемента костюма.
