В рамках святкування Дня незалежності на Філіппінах, Facebook створив тематичну картинку для користувачів, якою можна було поділитися в соцмережі.
 

Як пояснює The Philippine Star, Facebook використав для святкової графіки зображення філіппінського прапора з червоною смужкою вгорі і синьою - внизу. Згідно з філіппінським законодавством, така кольорова схема прапора використовується лише тоді, коли країна перебуває у стані війни. У мирний час синя смужка на прапорі знаходиться вгорі, а червона - знизу, пише Media Sapiens

Картинка з'явилась в соцмережі в неділю вранці і багато користувачів одразу вказали на помилку.

«Facebook каже, що у нас війна. Щасливого дня незалежності, Філіппіни», - написала одна з користувачок у Twitter, доклавши до свого повідомлення картинку із Facebook.

Соцмережа Facebook невдовзі  визнала свій промах та опублікувала вибачення. «Це було зроблено ненавмисно і нам шкода», - заявила компанія. «Ми піклуємося про спільноту на Філіппінах і в спробі об'єднати людей на День незалежності, ми зробили помилку», - йдеться в повідомленні Facebook.
