Премьер-министр Великобритании Борис Джонсон закинул ногу на стол во время протокольной встречи с президентом Франции Эммануэлем Макроном в Елисейском дворце.

На видео Reuters, обнародованном корреспондентом SkyNews, видно, что Джонсон на долю секунды поставил правую ногу на журнальный столик между ним и Макроном.

Этот жест сопровождался дружественным смехом с обеих сторон. По словам корреспондента Тома Райнера, лидеры шутили о том, чтобы использовать стол в качестве скамейки для ног.

Несмотря на то, что поведение Джонсона имело шутливый характер, на лидера британского правительства посыпалась резкая критика. Писательница Соня Пернелл, автор биографической книги Просто Борис: Рассказ о честолюбивом блондине, назвала поведение Джонсона «грубым и постыдным».

«Представьте, если бы Макрон закинул свою ногу на стол в Букингемском дворце», — написала она.
